Your target retirement age is the age we have on file for when you plan to start taking your pension savings. It’s important this reflects your actual plans, as your investments may automatically and gradually adjust in the years leading up to this date. If the date is wrong, your savings could move too early or too late, which may affect their growth or the income available to you when you retire.

How to check and update your retirement age

You can change your target retirement age at any time, you’re no longer tied to retiring at 60 or 65. Under current legislation, you can access your pension from age 55 (rising to 57 on 6 April 2028).
