On 10 November 2026, we’re closing the Aegon BlackRock 30/70 Equity and Bond Tracker fund, available as part of our insured Pension, Aegon Retirement Choices (ARC) and One Retirement (AOR) fund ranges.

When the fund closes, we’ll move investors into the Cautious Core Portfolio fund, unless they tell us to move it to a different fund before then.

We’re writing to all those affected to let them know about the closure.

Why we’re closing the fund

As part of our fund governance process, we regularly monitor and refine our fund ranges. The Aegon BlackRock 30/70 Equity and Bond Tracker fund hasn’t grown in size as we’d expected, so we’ve decided to close the fund.

What this means for investors

Until the fund closes, investors can stay invested in it. Then, on 10 November 2026, we’ll move their investment and all future investment into the Cautious Core Portfolio fund, free of any switch charge.

Cautious Core Portfolio fund objective

This portfolio aims to provide long-term capital growth while keeping risk in a target volatility range of 5.25-9.25% over a market cycle, which the fund manager defines as being three years or more. The portfolio is built using a collection of low-cost funds that aim to perform in line with their regional benchmarks, by investing in the same companies as them, in the same proportions. The fund invests in assets traditionally viewed as lower risk, including investment grade corporate bonds, government bonds (gilts) and cash. It will also invest to a lesser extent in riskier assets, including developed and emerging markets equities. To be consistent with the target volatility range, the fund would typically be expected to invest between 20-50% in equities. The underlying assumptions that support the volatility and equity ranges are at the fund manager's discretion and are subject to change. This is the second least risky of the Core Risk Profile Portfolios, so it may not return as much as other funds in the range over the longer term.

3The Aegon risk rating aims to give investors a view of relative risk using a predefined scale set out by Aegon. The rating is not an industry standard, and it has no relevance or relationship to the fund risk rating of other providers. Find out more about our risk ratings.
