From 1 March 2023, the Aegon CT UK Property Trust resumed trading across our insured Pension and Aegon Retirement Choices (ARC) fund ranges.

Why we’ve resumed trading

On 1 March 2023, Threadneedle Investment Services Limited resumed trading in the CT UK Property Authorised Investment Fund, the underlying fund of the Aegon CT UK Property Trust. As a result, on 1 March 2023, we resumed trading in the Aegon CT UK Property Trust.

What this means for you

The fund has resumed trading, which means you can now make payments into and out of the fund as normal. Any requests for redemptions (payments out) from the fund made after 1 March 2023 will be fulfilled.

What happens to regular payments?

Regular payments into the fund will continue as normal now that the fund has resumed trading. Single premiums, switches and transfers can also resume as normal. Please note, any payments intended for the fund while it was suspended will have been redirected to:

  • the Cash fund (for pension investors)
  • your individual cash facility (for investors on ARC)

Any payments made under these circumstances will remain there until you give us a clear and complete switch instruction to invest into a fund or funds of your choice by filling out an alteration of fund choice form and returning to us.

If you receive an income

If you previously received an income from the Aegon CT UK Property Trust, this will have stopped if this was the only fund you held. This will now resume as normal.

If you held more than one fund in your portfolio, income will have been taken from other funds held at the time the Aegon CT UK Property Trust was suspended.

Income will continue to be paid from those funds unless you give us a clear instruction to resume taking income from the Aegon CT UK Property Trust fund and/or any other fund.

If you hold this fund in a model portfolio

If you hold the Aegon CT UK Property Trust as part of a model portfolio and the portfolio experiences a rebalance, this fund will now be included.

What current investors need to do

Now that the fund has resumed trading, for most activity related to your plan, you don’t need to do anything. Current valuations can be obtained online.

However, to reinvest any payments originally intended for the fund that were re-directed to the Cash fund (for pension investors) or the individual cash facility (for investors on ARC), you’ll need to complete a switch instruction to invest into a fund or funds of your choice by filling in and returning an ‘Alteration of fund choice’ form.

If you hold more than one fund in your portfolio, previously received an income from the suspended fund and want that income to resume, you’ll need to contact us to let us know as soon as possible.

If you’re uncertain about how this affects your investments, please speak to a financial adviser in the first instance. If you don’t have a financial adviser you can find one in your area via moneyhelper.org.uk/choosing-a-financial-adviser
