From 31 March 2021, we’re changing the names of the below Scottish Equitable Artemis funds:
Pension and Life
- Scottish Equitable Artemis Capital fund will change to Aegon Artemis SmartGARP UK Equity fund
- Scottish Equitable Artemis Global Growth fund will change to Aegon Artemis SmartGARP Global Equity fund
ARC
- Scottish Equitable Artemis Capital (ARC) fund will change to Aegon Artemis SmartGARP UK Equity (ARC) fund
- Scottish Equitable Artemis Global Growth (ARC) fund will change to Aegon Artemis SmartGARP Global Equity (ARC) fund
Nothing else about the funds will change, for example the aims and objectives, fund manager, charges and Aegon risk ratings will remain the same.
The changes in more detail
The underlying fund manager, Artemis Fund Managers Limited (Artemis), decided to change the fund names to better reflect their management style. They believe using “Equity” in the fund titles clearly describe the asset class that the funds invest in.
Artemis also use an in-house ‘SmartGARP’ software tool for the above funds. They have therefore decided to include ‘SmartGARP’ in the titles of funds so that investors can readily identify funds in this group. To ensure consistency for customers, we’re changing our fund names to match the underlying fund names.
The funds’ short names , which appears on plan statements, will also change to reflect this. Both old and new names are shown in the tables below:

Investors will start to notice the name change on their statements, in our literature and on our website from 31 March onwards. The change will be implemented gradually across our material, so you may notice both the old and new names in use for a time.
