On 29 May 2026, we’re closing the Aegon abrdn Life UK Equity Enhanced Index (BLK) fund, available as part of our Aegon TargetPlan fund range across all share classes.

To prepare for this, on or around 29 April 2026, we’ll move any remaining investors into the Aegon BlackRock UK Equity Index Tracker (BLK) fund.

We’re writing to those affected to let them know about the closure.

Why we’re closing the fund

As part of our fund governance process, we regularly monitor and refine our fund ranges. The Aegon abrdn Life UK Equity Enhanced Index (BLK) fund hasn’t grown in size as we’d expected, so we’ve decided to close the fund.

More about the Aegon BlackRock UK Equity Index Tracker (BLK) fund

We’ve chosen this fund as we believe it’s the most broadly similar fund in our fund range in terms of where it invests and what it aims to do.

The fund aims to achieve capital growth for investors by closely tracking the performance of the FTSE All Share Index. It does so by investing directly in companies that make up the Index and via other transferable securities giving exposure to such companies. The fund may also invest in permitted money market instruments, permitted deposits, and units in collective investment schemes.

There’s no guarantee the fund will meet its objective. The value of an investment can fall as well as rise and isn’t guaranteed. Investors could get back less than they invest.

For more information you can view the fund factsheet on the ‘Fund prices and performance’ page’ by selecting ‘TargetPlan funds’ and searching for the fund name.

What current investors need to do

If current investors are happy for their investment to move to the alternative fund, they don’t need to do anything. However, if investors feel that this fund isn’t suitable for them, they can switch their investment and redirect any future investment, free of any switch charge, into an alternative fund or funds of their choice.

If current investors wish to do this, they can view the funds available to their plan by logging into TargetPlan, selecting ‘Fund Information’ from the Dashboard and selecting the ’Switch funds‘ button to make the switch.

You should speak to a financial adviser if you need advice about your investments. There’s likely to be a charge for this. If you don’t have a financial adviser you can find one in your area by visiting moneyhelper.org.uk/choosing-a-financial-adviser.
