On 7 March 2022, we suspended trading in the Aegon Janus Henderson UK Property (AOR) fund.

Why we’ve suspended trading

On 3 March 2022, the Janus Henderson UK Property PAIF Fund (the underlying fund of the Aegon Janus Henderson UK Property (AOR) fund) suspended trading due to increased redemptions (payments out) from the fund.

As a result, we’ve made the decision to suspend trading in the Aegon Janus Henderson UK Property (AOR) fund until we receive further guidance from the underlying fund manager. We’ve written to those affected to let them know.

What this means for investors

Investors in this fund are currently unable to buy or sell the suspended fund. However, the Aegon Janus Henderson UK Property (AOR) fund will continue to publish daily prices.

Investors can continue to request a withdrawal, however as the fund has suspended trading, we’ll defer redemptions (payments out) for up to one year from the day we receive withdrawal requests (as per policy terms and conditions) or until the date the fund resumes trading. At the end of the deferred period or from the date the fund resumes trading, we’ll process the redemption unless otherwise instructed.

If investors currently make regular withdrawals from this fund and it’s the only fund they hold, these will stop until either the end of their deferral period or the suspension is lifted. However, if they have other investments in their portfolio, withdrawals will, as far as possible, be taken from them in line with their terms and conditions.

If investors currently make regular payments into the fund, these will continue, however they will not be paid into the Aegon Janus Henderson UK Property (AOR) fund. Instead, they’ll be re-directed into their individual cash facility.

If investors would like to redirect any regular payments they currently make into this fund, they can do so by completing the ‘Recurring investment instruction for regular contributions’ form.

How long this will last

Investors won’t be able to access savings in this fund until it resumes trading or for up to one year from the day we receive the withdrawal request.

We are monitoring the situation and will update the ‘Fund changes and news’ section of our website as and when the situation changes and write to investors directly affected.
