Pension Geeks TV troubleshooting guide

If you're having trouble accessing the Pension Geeks TV shows, dont worry, we have put a troubleshooting guide together to help you.

If you haven't yet registered please go to our Pension Geeks TV page and sign up for the shows you're interested in. Each time you register for a show, you should receive an email with a confirmation link.

Please note: You are not registered until you've confirmed by clicking the button for a show.

When we go live with a show you'd like to attend, click on the Vimeo link provided in your confirmation email.

If you didn't receive a confirmation link, please check your junk/spam folder. If it's not there the easiest thing to do is try registering again with the same address.

Alternatively, you can use the 'Watch live' buttons on our Pension Geeks TV page which will take you to the live sessions.

If you have registered for a session and can't make it, don't worry, you don't need to do anything. After the shows, we will upload the recordings to the website so you can watch on catch-up.

There are a number of shows over the course of the day so check out our show schedule to see if you there is another on you would like to attend.

All our shows will be recorded and you can watch them on catch up shortly after the event.

While you are waiting for the latest shows, why not check out our previous shows.

If the video is poor quality, there are settings within the video player you can check.

  1. Click the cog icon
  2. Hit the dropdown control next to 'Quality'
  3. Adjust the quality control as needed.
Please be aware though, if you have a poor connection, adjusting this too high may cause the video to buffer or freeze.

It could also help to close other applications and browser tabs that may use up your available bandwidth.

If you can't hear any sound from the live feed, first of all if there's a technical problem at our end, keep an eye on the chat window to the right of the video and we will keep people informed here.

Otherwise, first we'd recommend checking that your computer plays sound from a site you can guarantee plays a sound that you can access. There are sites dedicated to this like https://speaker-test.com/.

If you can hear other sounds then check the volume level of the video is high enough. You can see this by how many blue bars are showing on the volume meter.
