This update affects our insured Life fund range

From 27 November 2025, we’re making some changes to the Scottish Equitable Baillie Gifford Stockmarket Managed fund. 

The changes in more detail

From the date above we’re:

·       Updating the fund objective and benchmark

·       Changing the name of the fund from the Scottish Equitable Baillie Gifford Stockmarket Managed to the Aegon Baillie Gifford 60/40 Worldwide Equity fund

·       Reducing the charges investors pay

Fund objective and benchmark
We’re also updating the fund objective and benchmark. The fund objective explains how the fund invests and what it’s trying to achieve for investors. Benchmarks are used to measure a fund’s performance against similar types of investments, similar markets or regions.

Name of the fund
We’re changing the name to better reflect how the fund invests.

Why we’re making these changes
The fund currently invests in two underlying funds and we’re changing this, so it invests in just one underlying fund. This change is designed to make the fund easier to manage while continuing to follow its investment strategy.

The fund aims to achieve long-term capital growth by investing in both UK and international equities through the Baillie Gifford UK Equity Alpha fund and Baillie Gifford International fund. This fund invests in an internationally diversified portfolio of 60% UK and 40% overseas equities (shares) and aims to outperform its benchmark by at least 1% a year (after charges) over rolling five-year periods. The fund will invest at least 90% directly or indirectly in shares of UK and overseas companies of any size and in any sector, with a bias to UK companies. Any indirect investment will be through collective investment schemes.
