From 9 August 2021, we’re making some changes to the Aegon AM Property Income (AOR) fund:
- The fund’s name will change to Aegon Property Fund (AOR) - Ex Aegon Property Income (AOR) fund.
- The fund’s investment objective will change.
- The underlying fund will change from Aegon Property Income fund to Aegon Property fund.
- The Fund Charge* will decrease from 0.76% to 0.61%.
* This is on top of any product or adviser charge and includes a fixed management fee, plus expenses that vary with the day-to-day costs of running the fund.
What this means for investors
As a result of these changes, from 10 August 2021 investors will be able to buy, sell, switch or transfer their investment in the Aegon Property Fund (AOR) - Ex Aegon Property Income (AOR) fund.
Why we’re making these changes
This fund invests in the Aegon Property Income fund, which the underlying fund manager, Aegon Asset Management, has taken the decision to close.
As a result of this, the fund will no longer invest in the underlying Aegon Property Income fund and will instead change to invest in the Aegon Property fund. To make our version of the fund consistent with the new underlying fund, we’re updating the fund’s name, short name and investment objective. This is outlined in the table below:
Existing fund name | New fund name (from 9 August 2021) |
---|---|
Aegon AM Property Income (AOR) | Aegon Property Fund (AOR) - Ex Aegon Property Income (AOR) fund |
Existing short name | New short name (from 9 August 2021) |
AOR AGN PTY INC | AOR AGN PROPERTY |
Existing fund objective | New fund objective (from 9 August 2021) |
The fund aims to achieve an income with potential for capital growth through investment mainly in commercial property. | The fund aims to maximise returns through capital and rental growth and outperform the ABI UK Direct Property sector median over a rolling three-year period. It can invest directly in UK office, retail and industrial property and can invest up to 15% in property-related equities (shares). The fund may, from time to time, hold a significant amount in cash. |
There’s no guarantee the fund will meet its objectives. The value of an investment can fall as well as rise and isn’t guaranteed. Investors could get back less than they have paid in.
Investors will start to notice the changes on their statements, in our literature and on our website. The changes will be implemented gradually, so investors may notice both the old and new information in use for a while.
For more information on the fund you can view the fund factsheet via the ‘Fund prices and performance page’ and viewing ‘One Retirement’.
