Terms and conditions for Retiready MacBook prize draw

These terms and conditions, together with any specific rules or conditions explained or notified by Aegon UK as relevant to this prize draw, apply to your participation in the prize draw. By entering the prize draw you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1.1 The promoter of the prize draw is Aegon UK plc, Aegon House, Edinburgh Park, Edinburgh EH12 9SE (‘Aegon UK’).

1.2 This prize draw is not open to employees of the Aegon UK Group of companies or their immediate family members. For the purposes of this prize draw, Group has the meaning given to it in the Companies Act 2006.

1.3 The competition is open to UK residents over 18 only who receive a communication regarding automatically transferring their Aegon Pension to a Retiready Pension. No purchase is necessary to enter. Each entrant can only win once.

1.4 Entry to prize draw opens on Tuesday 2 December 2014 and the deadline for Aegon UK receiving entries is midnight on 30 June 2015. To enter the competition entrants must either activate their Retiready account, completing all the requested data fields or alternatively entrants can send their name, email address and telephone number to the prize draw competition mailbox RRcompetition@aegon.co.uk

1.5 The first winner will win a Macbook Pro. Ten further winners will win an iPad mini 32GB.

One winner for each prize will be selected at random from all eligible entries under the supervision of an independent observer after the closing date.

Prizes will be distributed to the winners from 13 July 2015. Please note any costs associated with the prize draw not specifically mentioned in these terms and conditions are not included.

The winners will be contacted personally by email or phone. If Aegon UK is unable to contact any winner via the email address or phone number provided within three working days of its first attempt, or if a winner fails to respond to Aegon UK by such time, it reserves the right to deem that the winner has forfeited the prize and use its discretion to either offer the prize to any other eligible entrant or withdraw the prize altogether.

Aegon UK’s decision on all matters in connection with the prize draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

1.6 The winners must be prepared to appear in post-draw publicity if required by Aegon UK.

1.7 We do not take responsibility for entries that are corrupted, lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete due to server functions, system or network failures, viruses, bugs or other causes outside our control. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt.

1.8 Entrants must comply with all rules of this prize draw to be eligible for the prize. Aegon UK doesn’t accept any responsibility for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.

1.9 The prize must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. There will be no cash alternatives. Aegon UK reserves the right to cancel this prize draw at any stage, or change any of the rules or procedures if it deems this necessary, or if circumstances arise outside its control.

1.10  Aegon UK can’t accept any liability (other than for liabilities that can’t, as a matter of law, be excluded) for any damage, loss, costs, expenses or disappointment, whether direct or indirect, caused to or suffered by entrants in connection with the prize draw or as a result of acceptance or use of any prize. Aegon UK won’t be liable if a prize doesn’t reach a prize-winner for any reason outside the control of Aegon UK, or if a prize is damaged during delivery.

1.11 A list of winners of the prize draw can be obtained by writing to Channel Marketing, Aegon UK, Lochside Crescent, Edinburgh Park, Edinburgh EH12 9SE after 13 July 2015.

1.12 These terms and conditions are governed by, and interpreted in line with, Scots law. The Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise under or in connection with them.

1.13 Apple is not a participant in or sponsor of this promotion.
