Why am I being asked to have medical or blood tests and who will do the tests?

We may ask you to have a medical exam or blood test so we can complete the underwriting of your application. We may ask for these tests due to the information you've given on your application, or the amount of benefit you've applied for.
We use third party healthcare providers to do these tests on our behalf. At your convenience, a nurse or doctor will either visit you at home or arrange to meet you at a local surgery, to carry out the tests. All information is treated confidentially.
