Closure of Guidance and Corporate Governed Ranges21 January 2015 Back to results
On 31 December 2014 we closed our Guidance and Corporate Governed fund ranges. The funds offered within these ranges remain open, and this has no impact on their value or management.
These fund ranges were offered for older products and no longer reflect the direction that the market is moving in. In an environment of such extensive investment choice and flexibility – like that offered by our Aegon Retirement Choices platform – our clients are looking for greater support finding the funds they need.
As a result we’re moving towards offering smaller, more focussed fund ranges aimed at meeting specific customer needs. So, for example, we’ve introduced a focussed range of 100 high-quality funds for One Retirement. Similarly, for corporate pension schemes we now offer concise range of high quality default funds.
The closure of our Guidance and Corporate Governed fund ranges makes our investment proposition simpler and clearer, making sure it evolves to best meet the needs of today’s savers.
The funds in these ranges remain available and form part of our Full Insured Fund Range. This means they’re monitored regularly by our Fund Governance Group, in line with our Funds Promise commitments.
You can find out more about how we monitor our funds and fund ranges here.
The value of investments may go down as well as up, for example due to market or currency movements. Investors may get back less than originally invested.
