AEGON‘s new ‘Simply Investments’ pack helps make investing easier to understand

19 June 2008

AEGON Scottish Equitable is launching a new initiative to help financial advisers explain the sometimes complex world of investment to their clients.

‘Simply investments’ is a new pack containing 13 client facing and 5 adviser facing sales aids, covering a comprehensive range of investment issues. The sales aids reflect issues that clients frequently want to know more about and reflect a broad range of investment topics – such as tax, risk, volatility, and the difference between property and equity investment.

It also includes a “Fundamentals of Investing” booklet which provides a basic outline of investment concepts such as different types of funds, difference between equities and bonds, and active and passive fund management. There is also a jargon-buster to help clients understand the terminology of investing.

David Aaron, Marketing Communications Manager for Investment Products at AEGON Scottish Equitable says:

“Advisers told us that this type of information would be useful, not just for first time investors but for people who are looking at developing their investment portfolio at different stages of their life.

The range of material is designed for advisers to help their clients understand the benefits of different types of investment options available. It includes information on the importance of reviewing existing portfolios, the benefits of investing in various types of asset classes, how to control when you pay tax and how much you pay and why some clients should consider investing offshore.”

Advisers can order the ‘Simply investments’ packs by contacting their local sales consultant or online at www.aegonse.co.uk/adviser/campaign/simply-investment.
