AEGON announces sponsorship partnership with Scots golfer Lloyd Saltman
10 September 2007AEGON UK today announces it is to sponsor Scots golfer Lloyd Saltman, as he moves from amateur to professional status.
Saltman, 22, has already developed a strong track record for success. He gained recognition in 2005 when aged 19 he won the Silver medal for the leading amateur at the Open, at St Andrews, finishing tied 15th overall.
Since then, he has gone on to achieve further success, in 2007 winning the Irish Open, the Scottish Championship of Champions, and most recently, representing Great Britain and Ireland in the Walker Cup.
As part of the partnership, Lloyd Saltman will wear the AEGON logo on his golf clothing and hat. AEGON is delighted to be sponsoring Lloyd at the outset of this important new phase in his career. AEGON is Lloyd’s lead sponsor. The partnership is initially for three years. The terms are undisclosed.
