Reason for vacancy
To write, manage and deliver the Compliance Plan for AEGON Direct by ensuring the regulatory requirements are identified and appropriate procedures established; the provision of workable, commercial solutions to identified compliance issues (consulting with Head of Compliance and Compliance Managers, as appropriate). The role will be based in Lytham, there will be a requirement to travel to Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
- Provides advice, as required, to Senior Management and other colleagues on regulatory compliance matters according to best practice and industry standards.
- Draft the compliance plan for approval by the AUK Head of Compliance. Thereafter, ensure delivery of the compliance plan.
- Develops and delivers relevant training programmes (including Training & Competence Plans) for both the business and for within the Compliance team.
- Provides appropriate and regular reports to management (as required by the Head of Compliance)
- Remain up to date with FSA regulatory changes, along with business development to ensure that all review work, compliance procedures and manuals remain valid.
- Responsible for approving the Compliance marketing process for all AEGON Direct financial promotions.

- Good working knowledge of Compliance Review Methodology
- A good understanding of FSA rules
- Demonstrable experience of Compliance Monitoring/Technical experience or Internal Audit background
- Excellent knowledge of the industry
Desirable:
- Graduate (or similar)
- AFPC
- Compliance Institute (ACol/FCol)
- Internal Auditors (MIIA/FIIA)
