Our recruitment process
Before you apply, read the job advert and take some time to find out more about us on our website. This will help you decide whether you are suited to the role and to a career at Aegon, and what you can bring to the company.
1. Search available jobs
Use the search facility to look for jobs which most fit your criteria. This will help you decide what is right for you.
2. Register your personal details and complete the online application
As part of your application you will be asked to register your personal details on the site. This means that we can keep in touch with you throughout the recruitment process. It also means that if no suitable vacancies are available for you at the moment we can contact you when new vacancies come up.
We also ask you to provide background information. You can either choose to complete the online application fields or upload a CV.
3. Interview process
When you are contacted about a vacancy or one of our vacancies, you will be advised what the next stage of the selection process consists of.

4. Receive a conditional offer
If we decide to proceed, we will make you a conditional offer. The offer is conditional on meeting our pre-employment screening requirements. You will receive details of the offer in the post along with further information about working for Aegon.
5. Pre-employment screening
Pre-employment Screening involves a number of checks to establish your identity and history. Under FSA guidelines this is required to be completed before we can employ you.
Before we employ you, we will carry out the following checks:
- Satisfactory references
- Health questionnaire
- Satisfactory credit and criminal checks
- Proof that you’re legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom
Additional checks may be required for specific roles.
