What does the name change mean for me?

AEGON Scottish Equitable has changed its name to AEGON

We've shortened our name to AEGON. This is part of our overall strategy to build the AEGON brand in the UK.

Do I need to do anything?

No. All plans, contributions, Direct Debit arrangements or income payments won’t change. Scottish Equitable plc is still the legal company, but on a day-to-day basis you’ll deal with AEGON.

When will the change take place?

You’ll notice our communications will gradually change over to AEGON. For a time, you might receive correspondence from us using both the AEGON and AEGON Scottish Equitable names until we update all of our systems.

Is this a takeover?

No. Scottish Equitable became part of the AEGON Group, one of the world’s largest life insurance and pensions companies, in 1994. In 2006, we linked the global AEGON name to our UK brand and Scottish Equitable became known as AEGON Scottish Equitable. We’re now going one step further and shortening our brand name to AEGON.

Website address

We've now changed our website address, but put in place automatic 'redirects' for key pages. This means that even if you type in the old address, you’ll still get to the right website.
