The performance figures shown in the factsheets represent the return on the assets that support each fund, net of annual management charge (AMC), but not including charges for guarantees and the distribution from the inherited estate. With-profit payouts also incorporate the effects of smoothing of investment returns and will therefore not necessarily reflect these returns.
